It is a form of crowd funding, where people can contribute small amounts of money to help fund a project.

How Kickstarter works?

On Kickstarter, project creators set a funding goal and deadline, and backers who support the project can choose to pledge a certain amount of money to help reach the goal.
If the goal is reached within the deadline, the project is funded and the backers’ credit cards are charged.
If the goal is not reached, the project is not funded and the backers’ credit cards are not charged.

How Kickstarter makes money?

Kickstarter takes a percentage of the funds raised as a fee for its services.
